Schema visualizer

A diagram of your tables and foreign keys. Change the structure there and review the SQL before it runs.

Open Schema → Visualizer in the Navigator.

Each card is a table or view. Lines connect foreign keys to the keys they point at. Click a card to see its columns, relations, indexes, triggers, and policies.

Explore

Drag the background to pan and zoom to see more or less. Cmd+F (Ctrl+F) finds a table or column. Pick another schema in the toolbar to see its tables.

Drag tables wherever they make sense to you. Tamery remembers the layout on this device. Arrange tables automatically tidies everything up when it gets out of hand.

Make changes

  • + Table creates a table.
  • Right-click a table to rename it, add a column, open it, or drop it. On PostgreSQL, Drop Table with Dependents also removes what depends on it.
  • Right-click a column to edit or drop it, or flip Allow NULL and Require a Value.
  • To add a foreign key, drag a column's edge handle onto a primary or unique key. Or right-click the column and use Reference.
  • To remove a foreign key, select the line and press Delete, or right-click it and choose Drop Foreign Key.

Foreign keys can be added on PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB, and SQL Server. Views are read-only in the diagram.

Review and apply

Changes stay as drafts until you click Apply, or press Cmd+S (Ctrl+S). The button counts them.

The eye button next to it shows each change with its exact SQL, and lets you discard any of them. Changed your mind about one table, column, or foreign key? Right-click it and choose Restore Table, Restore Column, or Restore Foreign Key. Dropping anything opens the review first, so nothing disappears by a misclick.

Drafts live in this window only. Reloading throws them away.

PostgreSQL, SQL Server, SQLite, Turso, and D1 apply all changes in one transaction: either everything lands or nothing does. MySQL, MariaDB, Oracle, and ClickHouse apply schema changes one by one, so an error can leave some of them already applied. Check what is left in the review before you try again.
